From a city named after a mythical creature - known for its invincibility against competition and for its rise among ruin, Phoenix proves itself time and again to be a city on the rise- producing notable band after band. There can be no better representation then blessthefall. In addition to their staggering live performances, blessthefall have quickly become known for their uninhibited personalities and eccentricities, including a love for llamas, hot tamales, and the Top Gun soundtrack. They also carry certain advantages - as they are younger, yet equally as capable as their more established counterparts. A five-piece that dug its heels into the dry desert sands and refused to relent, blessthefall planted themselves amid the chaos of competition in January of 2004. Drummer Matt and guitarist Mike formed a band with sweeping dreams and untainted visions. Early on, with friends playing as interim members, the band gained regional recognition by winning local battle-of-the-bands contests, spurring them to continue forming the enterprise, despite the member changes that young bands typically face. Temporarily secure in their line-up (with Craig's vocals and Jared on bass) they spent the next year focused on evolving as musicians and refining their sound. Though they drew from bands like Underoath, Alexisonfire, and As I Lay Dying, aspects of pop, hip-hop, rap, and even R&B surfaced in their songs - if not through Craig's vocal reach, then through the beats and rhythms that surfaced in their music. Being one of the youngest bands in the area, blessthefall were added to bills with other notable local artists such as Greeley Estates and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. In August of 2005 they recorded their self-titled 3 song EP which enhancing their growing reputation. By October the line up was complete when Eric was added on guitar, complementing the band's progressing sound. As the older bands were away from Phoenix touring and recording, blessthefall took advantage of the musical drought the Valley was in. They confirmed their capabilities by selling out show after show at the local venues. Ultimately, they were responsible for shutting down Neckbeard's (a well-known local venue) in January 2006. Doors were permanently closed after the employees failed to maintain capacity due to the hundreds of kids outside trying to force their way into an already sold-out show where blessthefall was headlining. They continued to share the stage with other established artists, often drawing a bigger crowd then those more reputed. You can catch them on the entire 2007 Vans Warped Tour on the Smartpunk Stage. Their debut full length His Last Walk will be released on Science Records on April 10th, 2007.

While on their first European tour (with Silverstein) in late 2007, Craig Mabbitt left the band during the United Kingdom portion, for (according to the band's MySpace blog) "personal reasons." For the remainder of the tour, Jared filled in for vocals as well as playing bass. When Mabbitt later returned to Blessthefall, the band members decided not to let him back in, preferring to move on without him. On December 15, 2007 Blessthefall posted a blog on their MySpace announcing their parting ways with Mabbitt, Mabbitt posted a bulletin on his personal MySpace stating his willingness to return to the band.

After the European tour, the band decided to look for a temporary fill in bass player so that Jared Warth could concentrate on vocals. Aiden Louis, vocalist of Dear Whoever, was added to the group to fill in the bass and backup vocals. This was their lineup for Taste of Chaos 2008.

In early 2008, Blessthefall released a new video for the song Rise Up from the album His Last Walk. The video, (directed by Travis Kopach), is the first to not include Mabbitt.

In May 2008, Blessthefall's tour friend Escape the Fate announced Mabbitt had joined them for the recording of their next album.

Finally, on September 26, 2008, the group announced that they had chosen a new lead singer, Beau Bokan, after months of searching. Bokan was the former lead singer for Take the Crown, a group who released one album on Rise Records earlier in 2008 before disbanding.

During the month of February, the band announced on their myspace page that they would head into the studio in May 2009 after their tour with Silverstein, Norma Jean, and Before Their Eyes. The band recorded their new album in May and it was released on October 6, 2009.

On May 13 the band announced on their myspace page and video blogs that they signed to Fearless Records.

On June 3, the band announced via myspace that they were officially finished with the recording of their new album and that it was to be released in the fall. At the beginning of their tour with August Burns Red and Enter Shikari, they announced that the album would be titled "Witness". In July, Blessthefall released a song clip on the their MySpace blog titled "God Wears Gucci", released on iTunes for download on August 11, 2009. In September, 2009 the band uploaded another track on their myspace page titled "What's Left Of Me". The album was released October 6, 2009. After the release of Witness, the band co-headlined the Atticus Fall Tour with, Finch from October 10,2009 through to November 19, other bands on the tour included, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Vanna, Of Mice & Men, and Lets Get It.

In October, the band announced on Youtube that they are working on a music video for "What's Left Of Me" and it was released December 14 on Myspace Metal.

The band have now finished their Commotion over the Ocean Europe tour with support bands Bury Tomorrow and Marionette.

Personal Review :
Blesthefall is one of my favorite band for post-hardcore. Their first album His Last Walk is really beautiful and amazing. great voice combination between Craig and Jared. Totally love their perfomance. The second album change a lot, because Craig left Blessthefall and been replace by Beau. Beau voice is amazing but he can't screams. So Jared has to all the screaming part while playing bass. By the way your awesome Jared.

Here are my favorite songs out of their albums :

1. Higinia (His Last Walk)
2. Black Rose Dying (His Last Walk)
3. Guys Like You make Us Looks Bad (His Last Walk)
4. Pray (His Last Walk)
5. Time Like These (His Last Walk)
6. A Message To The Unknown (His Last Walk)
7. To Hell and Back (Witness)
8. What Left of Me (Witness)
9. Witness (Witness)
10. God Wears Gucci (Witness)
